Students of Delta State Polytechnic (DSP), Oghara, have reportedly facilitated the arrest of their Engineering department course representative following allegations of financial exploitation.


According to reports, the course rep allegedly purchased textbooks valued at ₦3,500 and resold them to students for as much as ₦8,500, a move that triggered widespread anger among the student body. Many accused him of taking advantage of his position for personal gain.


The controversy deepened after claims surfaced that the representative upgraded from an iPhone XR to an iPhone 16 shortly after assuming office, fueling suspicions about a sudden change in lifestyle.


The incident has since generated conversations within the institution, with students calling for accountability and fairness in the handling of academic materials.
