“Compete with My Children, Not My English” — MC Oluomo Claps Back at Critics
MC Oluomo has responded to those mocking his grammar, stating that while he may not speak perfect English, he has invested his success in giving his children a world-class education.

Speaking at a public event, the former bus conductor turned top transport union leader recounted his journey to prominence, attributing his rise to grit and determination.
In a viral video, he said, “I stayed there and worked hard. I wasn’t educated. They said I said ‘Kundus’ — is my son not Kundus? You are educated; what have you done? They should go and compete with my children. I raised my children in wealth. My children are citizens of America and the UK. I worked hard to get to that level.”
He added, “Kundus, kudos — what’s the difference? What do you want to hear? English is not my mother tongue; Yoruba is.”
His message was bold: success isn’t measured by fluency, but by impact — and for him, his greatest legacy is the future he’s built for his children.
