Community Development Catalyst Award for Olawale Abayomi
For his remarkable contributions to logistics excellence and grassroots empowerment, Olawale Abayomi will be honoured with the Community Development Catalyst Award at the forthcoming D Chronicle Media 50/12 Celebration.

The prestigious event, scheduled for Saturday, 23rd August 2025, at the St. Luke Event Center, Akure, will commemorate the 50th birthday of the CEO of D Chronicle Media alongside the organisation’s 12th anniversary. With the theme “Accountability and Transparency: Keys to Fulfilling Election Promises in Public Service,” the occasion promises to be a gathering of top leaders and influencers across government, business, and traditional institutions.
Dignitaries expected at the celebration include the Speaker of the Ondo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Olamide Oladiji, the Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State, Engr. Ade Adetimehin, members of the National Assembly, cabinet members from Ondo and neighbouring states, as well as distinguished traditional rulers led by the Deji of Akure Kingdom, Oba Aladetoyinbo Aladelusi. Media executives, business leaders, and representatives of civil society organisations will also grace the occasion.
Currently serving as Operations Director at Wesley Global Logistics, Abayomi has built a stellar career spanning more than a decade in supply chain optimization, vendor management, and operations leadership. His academic background includes a Master’s Degree in Supply Chain Management from Texas A&M University, alongside specialized certifications in leadership, project management, and process improvement.
Beyond his corporate achievements, Abayomi is a firm believer in community-driven growth, actively supporting initiatives that empower young professionals and strengthen grassroots development. His recognition with the Community Development Catalyst Award underscores his dual commitment to professional excellence and societal impact.
The 50/12 Celebration is poised to be one of the most significant gatherings in Ondo State this year, combining recognition, reflection, and festivity in honour of individuals whose work continues to shape communities and inspire progress.
