Akintayo Urges Youths to Seize Voter Registration Opportunity, Calls for End to Political Apathy
Youth development advocate and philanthropist, Ambassador Akintunde Akintayo, has called on Nigerians, particularly young people, to take full advantage of the ongoing nationwide voters’ registration exercise.
Speaking in a phone interview with newsmen, the founder of the Akin Akintayo Foundation emphasized that political apathy remains one of the biggest obstacles to good governance in Nigeria.
He noted that the first step toward meaningful participation in nation-building is registering to vote, which empowers citizens to make their voices heard at the ballot box.
Akintayo urged the youth to recognize their numerical strength and influence in shaping the nation’s future, stressing that democracy can only thrive when citizens actively engage in the electoral process.
He further encouraged them to mobilize friends, family, and peers to participate, insisting that voter registration is not just a civic duty but also a pathway to accountable leadership and national progress.
