Akin Akintayo Empowers Over 100 Farmers, Offers Free Health Checks and Routine Drugs
In a significant demonstration of grassroots support and humanitarian service, the Akin Akintayo Foundation on Tuesday, July 22, empowered over 100 farmers with essential farm equipment during a well-attended outreach program. The initiative, which took place in Ile-Oluji/Okeigbo area in Ondo State, marks another milestone in the Foundation’s commitment to economic empowerment and agricultural development.

The founder, Ambassador Akintunde Akintayo, explained that the empowerment program is part of his long-standing vision to uplift the living standards of the people, especially in underserved communities. According to him, the gesture aims to boost agricultural productivity, reduce rural poverty, and strengthen food security by equipping farmers with tools that will enhance their daily operations and overall output.
Beyond the distribution of farm equipment, the Foundation also provided free health checks and routine drugs to hundreds of beneficiaries. Medical professionals were on ground to attend to various health needs, offer consultations, and administer medications as required. This healthcare component underscores the Foundation’s holistic approach to community development—focusing not just on livelihood, but on the well-being of the people.
Beneficiaries expressed deep appreciation to Ambassador Akintayo for his timely intervention, describing the outreach as life-changing. Many applauded his commitment to bridging the gap between the government and the grassroots, while calling on other well-meaning individuals to emulate his selfless efforts. The event also witnessed the presence of community leaders, local farmers’ associations, and youth groups, all of whom commended the Foundation’s continuous impact in the region.
