Aiyedatiwa Launches ₦1.2bn Federal Cash Transfer Scheme in Ondo
Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa has officially launched the Federal Government’s ₦1.2 billion Conditional Cash Transfer Programme in Ondo State, targeting vulnerable households across all 18 local government areas.
The initiative will benefit over 16,000 families, each receiving a monthly stipend of ₦25,000 for three months, aimed at alleviating poverty and promoting economic inclusion.
Speaking at the flag-off ceremony, Governor Aiyedatiwa emphasized that the programme underscores the commitment of both the federal and state governments to improving the welfare of citizens at the grassroots. He assured that the distribution process would be transparent and inclusive, encouraging beneficiaries to use the funds responsibly to support household needs and small-scale ventures.
The launch comes as part of broader efforts to strengthen social safety nets and ensure that government interventions directly reach those most in need.
