A Half-Century of Excellence: Celebrating 50 Years of CEO Leadership and 12 Years of D Chronicle Media Ventures
By: Felicity Igene
The Publisher and CEO of D Chronicle Media Ventures, Mr. Olaseeni Oyesusi, approaches his 50th birthday with a heart full of gratitude for the many blessings and privileges he has enjoyed in life. This year is especially significant as it also marks the 12th anniversary of D Chronicle Media Ventures. In celebration of these dual milestones, he is giving back to society through a medical outreach and support program designed for some of the most vulnerable members of our community — orphans, widows, and the destitute. This initiative, conceived years ago, is now set to become a reality, providing essential care and assistance to those who need it most.

The celebration will begin on August 16th at RCCG, Holy Ghost Parish, by 10 a.m., with a free medical outreach offering comprehensive check-ups and treatment. A special focus will be on eye care, with free eye glasses provided, alongside other essential healthcare services. On August 19th, the program will continue at the Orphanage Home and Old Garage in Akure, where food will be distributed, and participants will receive emotional support and counselling. Financial assistance will also be extended to widows and the destitute during this period.
The highlight of the celebration will take place on August 23rd at St. Luke’s Event Center. This grand event will combine his 50th Birthday with the 12th Anniversary of D Chronicle Media Ventures, featuring a special lecture, award presentations, the unveiling of a special publication, and a book launch. It will be a gathering of friends, partners, and well-wishers united in celebration and service.
The entire 50/12 Celebration will be broadcast across the platforms of Chronicle Magazine, Chronicle Online, Chronicle TV, YouTube, and Facebook including other media outfits— allowing many more to share in the joy and impact of this special season. This is more than an anniversary; it is a testament to gratitude, compassion, and the enduring power of giving back.
