Ondo State Governor, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, has approved the appointment of a new Special Adviser as well as chairmen and members of several state government boards and commissions.
The appointments, announced on Friday, September 11, 2026, are part of the administration’s efforts to strengthen governance and ensure effective service delivery across the state.
According to a statement issued by the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Prince Ebenezer Adeniyan, Mr. Femi Fadairo has been appointed as the Special Adviser to the Governor on Special Duties and Strategy.
Fadairo replaces Hon. Gani Mohammed, who has been redeployed as Special Adviser to the Governor on Mines and Mineral Resources.
The Governor also approved the constitution of the Ondo State Universal Basic Education Board, with Mrs. Brown Ademilegun appointed as the full-time Chairman.
Other members of the board are Hon. Christopher Olorunfemi and Dr. Olarewaju Oyelade, both appointed as full-time members, while Hon. Tayo Fayanju and Hon. Maurice Oripelaye, representing the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON), will serve as part-time members.
Comrade Ayodele Samuel Leke, representing the Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT), was also appointed as a part-time member, alongside other statutory members.
For the Ondo State Local Government Service Commission, Pastor Segun Ayerin was appointed Chairman.
The commission’s full-time members are Dr. Bunmi Eniayewu, Barrister Ogbaro Oyerinde, Mrs. Ronke Ojo and Mr. Alonge Niyi Dennis.
The Governor also approved the composition of the Ondo State Muslim Welfare Board, with Alhaji Adam Chandy appointed as Chairman.
Members of the board include Alhaji Muhammad Kamaldeen Akinyemi, Alhaji Akorede Nuren Olatunde, Alhaja Fausat Olorunyomi and Alhaji Abdulrasheed Olawoye.
Similarly, Pastor Peter Abimbola was appointed Chairman of the Ondo State Christian Welfare Board.
The board’s members are Rev. Fr. Patrick Adebayo, Pastor Mrs. Omoyemi Bosede Ore, Prophet Emilere Arabija Aiyedatiwa and Rev. Jide Baptist.
In another appointment, Mr. Oluyemi Fashipe was named Chairman of the Ondo State Consumer Protection Agency.
Governor Aiyedatiwa congratulated all the newly appointed officials and urged them to approach their responsibilities with dedication, transparency and a strong commitment to the welfare and development of the people of Ondo State.
He further charged them to uphold the confidence reposed in them and contribute meaningfully to the effective administration of the state.
The appointments take immediate effect.
