COMR. OLUWASEUN ADU DONATES 5,000 HYBRID COCOA SEEDLINGS TO IFEDORE FARMERS IN SUPPORT OF HON. DIPO AJIBOLA’S ADMINISTRATION

The distribution of 5,000 hybrid cocoa seedlings to farmers across Ifedore Local Government was held to boost agricultural productivity and complement the development agenda of the local government.

The donor of the initiative, Comrade Oluwaseun Adu of Ijare Ward 2, said the program was borne out of his desire to contribute his quota as an agricultural expert and to support the leadership of the Executive Chairman, Hon. Oladipo Ajibola.

Comrade Adu noted that the gesture aligns with the “OUR EASE” Agenda of the Ondo State Governor, Dr. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, particularly in the agricultural sector. He described the Governor’s approach as visionary and worthy of emulation.

He also reaffirmed his unflinching support for the administration of Governor Aiyedatiwa, as well as his commitment to the re-election bid of His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Speaking at the event, the Executive Chairman of Ifedore Local Government, Hon. Oladipo Ajibola expressed gratitude for the opportunity, describing it as a sustainable intervention that farmers will benefit from for years.

Hon. Ajibola also used the occasion to distribute fertilizers to farmers. He recalled that since the administration came on board, it has prioritized farmers’ empowerment through training, and the provision of chemicals, sprayers, cutlasses, and rain boots.

The Chairman further highlighted other welfare programs: monthly stipends for youths and women, and ₦20,000 monthly payment for citizens aged 70 and above.

He added that students are also benefiting. ICT training has been organized for secondary and university students, with outstanding performers rewarded with laptops. In addition, solar power installations have been completed in over 18 communities across Ifedore, alongside road construction and rehabilitation by the government.

Also speaking, the Head of Local Government Administration, Mrs. Wole Awolere welcomed everyone to the program. Identifying as a farmer, she urged beneficiaries not to sell the seedlings and fertilizer but to plant, nurture, and maintain them for harvest in about two years.

Mrs. Awolere assured residents that more developmental projects are on the way and encouraged them to expect further support from the government.
