Nollywood Actor Joseph Momodu Enlists in US Army, Dedicates Milestone to Late Father
Nollywood actor Joseph Momodu has announced his enlistment into the United States Army, describing the achievement as the fulfilment of a long-held personal goal and a tribute to his late father, who served in the Nigeria Police Force.

Sharing his experience, Momodu reflected on the physical and emotional demands of military training, noting that the journey pushed him beyond his limits and tested his resilience.
According to him, the process involved months of intense training, sacrifice and determination.
He said there were moments of doubt during the programme but remained focused on completing the challenge and achieving his goal.
Momodu revealed that he marked April 12, 2026, in honour of his father’s memory, describing his enlistment as a continuation of a family tradition of service two decades after his father’s passing.
The actor disclosed that he has successfully completed Basic Combat Training and now serves as Specialist (SPC) J.A. Momodu with the 1st Platoon, Charlie Company, 3rd Battalion, 10th Infantry Regiment at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri.
He dedicated the accomplishment to God, his late father and his family, expressing gratitude for the support he received throughout the process.
Momodu also appreciated individuals and institutions that stood by him during his transition into military service, adding that the achievement marks the beginning of a new chapter in his life.
