From the quiet community of Toribo in Ondo East Local Government Area emerged a man whose name has become synonymous with impact—Rt. Hon. (Chief) Oladiji Olamide Adesanmi, fondly called Landmark.

Educated at St. Paul R.C.M. Primary School, St. Joseph’s College, and Ondo Boys’ High School, Landmark laid a strong academic foundation before advancing to Federal Polytechnic, Unwana and Federal Polytechnic, Ado-Ekiti, where he earned his National and Higher National Diplomas in Accounting. His hunger for growth further led him to postgraduate studies at RCCG and Olabisi Onabanjo University.
But Landmark did not wait for opportunities, he created them.
Through sheer determination and entrepreneurial brilliance, he built thriving businesses including Ladiji Petroleum, Lammytex Hotels & Suites, and Ladiji Integrated Services Ltd. Not stopping there, he invested heavily in education, founding Landmark Polytechnic, vocational institutes, and schools across Nigeria, empowering thousands with knowledge and skills.
Then came a higher calling, service to the people.
In 2019, history was made when he emerged as the first Deputy Majority Leader from Ondo East. By 2023, his leadership capacity and credibility earned him the position of Speaker of the Ondo State House of Assembly.
And he didn’t just occupy the seat, he transformed it.
As Speaker, Landmark has brought stability, unity, and productivity to the Assembly, strengthening governance and ensuring that laws passed truly reflect the needs of the people.
