Ondo at 50: Speaker Urges Unity, Sustained Development
The Speaker of the Ondo State House of Assembly, Rt.Hon. (Chief) Olamide Oladiji, has felicitated the government and people of the state on the occasion of 50th anniversary of the State, describing the milestone as a moment for reflection on past achievements and renewed commitment to unity, peace and sustainable development.
In a congratulatory message personally signed by the Speaker today in Akure, Oladiji hails the funding fathers of Ondo State, acknowledging their vision, sacrifice and foresight in laying a solid foundation for the creation and growth of the state, which he said has continued to guide its developmental journey five decades after its creation.
“As we celebrate this milestone, we honour our founding fathers, our traditional institutions, civil servants, artisans, youths and all patriots who have contributed to building a State we are proud to call our own”, the statement reads.
The Speaker, who rejoices with the people of the State, assures residents that lawmakers would remain steadfast in their legislative responsibilities, stressing that the Assembly would continue to support policies and programmes aimed at advancing development across the State.
While lauding the Governor of Ondo State,Dr.Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa for his remarkable achievements and exceptional leadership as the State celebrates its golden jubilee,Oladiji appreciates him for the sincere love and deep commitment to the progress of Ondo State.
The Speaker, who on behalf of Ondo State House of Assembly congratulates the government and good people of the State as it marks the 50th anniversary, describes the golden jubilee as a moment of deep reflection and gratitude to God Almighty.
