LIFE-ND Beneficiaries Showcase Agricultural Produce at OSIAFFA 2025
Beneficiaries of the Livelihood Improvement Family Enterprises – Niger Delta (LIFE-ND) project in Ondo State showcased a wide range of agricultural produce at the 2025 Ondo State International Agricultural Show and Food Fair (OSIAFFA).

The two-day event, held at The Dome, Igbatoro Road, Akure, brought together farmers, agribusiness stakeholders, policymakers and members of the public to promote agricultural productivity, innovation and food security.
LIFE-ND participants displayed farm produce across various value chains, including vegetables such as tomatoes, cucumbers, bell peppers, okra and amaranthus, as well as processed foods like garri, pupuru, eggs, smoked fish, cocoa pods and cocoa beans. The exhibition highlighted the progress made by beneficiaries in both production and value addition.
A lecture on homestead gardening formed part of the programme, with facilitators emphasizing how small-scale farming can generate income, improve household nutrition and contribute to food security when combined with effective processing and marketing strategies.
Officials and visitors at the fair inspected the exhibits and commended the beneficiaries for their commitment and innovation, noting that the quality of the products reflected the impact of structured training and agribusiness support.
Participants expressed appreciation for the opportunity to showcase their produce, interact with other farmers and explore new market opportunities. Many described the platform as valuable for knowledge sharing, networking and expanding their agribusiness ventures.
The LIFE-ND project continues to support youth and women entrepreneurs in agriculture through training, incubation and access to productive resources, with the aim of strengthening food systems and improving livelihoods across Ondo State.
