ONDO COMMISSIONER OF POLICE BAGS AINPN AWARD OF PUBLIC SAFETY AND SECURITY ICON
The Ondo State Commissioner of Police,CP Adebowale Lawal will on 19th of December be conffered with an award of PUBLIC SAFETY AND SECURITY ICON by the Association of Independent Newspaper Publishers of Nigeria, (AINPN)Ondo State Council.
The occasion that is part of activities marking the Newspaper Publishers week in Ondo State is slated to hold on Friday 19th December,2025 at Nigeria Medical Association (NMA) Event Centre ,adjacent Ondo State Board of Internal Revenue,Igbatoro road, Akure Ondo State.
It will be recalled that since the Commissioner of Police was posted to Ondo State,he has clamped down on all forms of activities of armed robbers kidnappers, ritualists, while cases of vehicles theft, motorcycle syndicates, cultists and cultism among others have been brought to the lowest ebb in the Sunshine State.
The Commissioner of Police,who hardly sleep with a view to ensuring that residents of Ondo State sleep with their two eyes closed,has put his officers and men on “red alert” as the festive period approaches urging them to comb all the nooks and crannies of Ondo State
with a view to detecting and arresting suspected criminals who might be planning to wreck havoc before, during and after the yelutide periods.
Therefore, AINPN will confer a “memento” on the Commissioner of Police based on his contributions to the security of life and property of the good people of Ondo State since he assumed duty.
Among distinguished Nigerians expected to be honoured during the ceremony include; Dr.Damilola Oshin,Bishop Felix Adejumo,Dr.Niyi Ijogun,Eyesorun Deji Akure,MHR Adelegbe
Others are Hon.Balarabe Abiodun Akinwumi, Com.Bola Taiwo, Ambassador Ademola Odudu, Alhaji and Alhaja Alaro etc.
During the ceremony, there will be Public Lecture, Cultural Display, Launching, Conferment of Awards among other side attractions.
