Aiyedatiwa Bags ‘Most Proactive Governor of the Year 2025’ Award
Ondo State Governor, Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, has been honoured with the Most Proactive Governor of the Year 2025 award by The Hope Newspaper, in recognition of his outstanding leadership and forward-thinking governance style.
The award was presented during The Hope Awards, Lecture and Magazine Launch held in Akure, the Ondo State capital. The event celebrated distinguished individuals who have made significant contributions to the development of the state and the nation at large.
Governor Aiyedatiwa was honoured alongside 18 other prominent personalities, including the Speaker of the Ondo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Olamide Oladiji; Vice Chancellor of the University of Ibadan, Prof. Adenike Oladiji; and businessman-politician, Dr. Sylvester Olumuyiwa (popularly known as Adu Cubana).
In his acceptance speech, Governor Aiyedatiwa expressed gratitude to the organisers for the recognition, describing the award as a testament to his administration’s commitment to effective governance and sustainable development.
“This award is not just for me but for the entire people of Ondo State. It is a recognition of our collective effort to deliver good governance and improve the lives of our citizens,” he said.
He reaffirmed his administration’s dedication to implementing people-oriented policies and projects, promising to build on the successes recorded so far.
The organisers noted that Aiyedatiwa’s leadership has been marked by prompt policy responses, infrastructure expansion, and inclusive development strategies that have positively impacted the state.
