OSOPADEC Vows to Complete Abandoned Hostel at RUGIPO
The Ondo State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (OSOPADEC) has pledged to complete the abandoned students’ hostel project at Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo (RUGIPO).

Chairman of the Commission, Mr. Biyi Poroye, gave the assurance during an inspection visit to the project site. He directed the Executive Director of Projects to prepare a detailed progress and impact report ahead of the resumption of construction work.
Poroye stressed that the hostel must be delivered for the benefit of students, noting that the present administration is determined to revive all abandoned projects across the state.
The contractor handling the project, who was present during the inspection, promised to return to site immediately and ensure timely delivery.
To fast-track the process, Poroye ordered the clearing of the hostel’s surroundings and tasked OSOPADEC officials to work closely with the contractor until completion.
He assured students and staff of the institution that the project would not be allowed to waste away, describing it as vital to the welfare and comfort of the polytechnic community.
