Ondo Students Set to Shine in National Mathematics Competition with Government Backing
The Ondo State Government has thrown its weight behind students participating in the upcoming National Mathematics Competition in Sokoto. A high-level meeting was held at the Ministry of Education, where Kunle Ikuyinminu, Special Assistant on Mobilization to the Governor, led a delegation of students, teachers, and parents.
Dr. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, Governor of the state, has generously approved support for the students, following discussions with the Mathematical Association of Nigeria (MAN), Ondo State Chapter, and the Honourable Commissioner for Education, Prof. Igbekele Ajibefun.
With the government’s backing, the students are poised to make a strong impression in the competition, which takes place from August 31st to September 5th, 2025.
