Ifedore PDP Councilorship Candidates Debunk Defection With Rep Akingbaso To APC
The Peoples Democratic Party Councilorship Candidates in Ifedore Local Government Area Council of Ondo State have debunked the defection rumour with Hon Festus Akingbaso to the All Progressive Congress (APC).
It could be recalled that, Fessywest as popularly called, a member representing Idanre/Ifedore Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives officially defected to the ruling APC yesterday, 31st July, 2025 in Idanre.
In a statement made available to Newsmen, the PDP Councilorship Candidates from all the wards in Ifedore Local Government have distanced themselves from such defection.
They added that it is too sudden for them to leave the party without proper plan, noting that their political interest and future must be taken into consideration in any decision they must make.
The Councilorship Candidates said their loyalty is 100 percent to the People Democratic Party, saying their commitment to the party is not in doubt.
” We are loyal and committed to our party and the public should disregard any rumour linking us to defection with Hon Festus Akingbaso. We remains bonafide members of the People’s Democratic Party”.
The Councillorship candidates are EEGUNSOLA JOHNSON ISHARUN/ERIGI, DAMILOLA EKUNDAYO MICHAEL ‘ORORO DENDE’ IJARE WARD 1, AJAYI TEMITOPE , IPOGUN/IBULE WARD, AKINSANMI OLALEYE TEMIDAYO, IGBARA OKE WARD 2
OTHERS ARE OLAFARE AYOTOLA ISAAC IGBARA OKE WARD 1 FAGBADEGUN KOLA, ILARA MOKIN WARD 1, OJIFININ JOSHUA IJARE WARD 1, FAGBOLAGUN OLUROPO WILLIAMS PKA WILLIWINCO, ILARA MOKIN WARD 2.
