Akin Akintayo Foundation to Empower Farmers in Ile-Oluji/Okeigbo
In a bid to boost food production and enhance the welfare of local farmers, the Akin Akintayo Foundation has announced a major empowerment program for farmers in the Ile-Oluji/Okeigbo community of Ondo State. The initiative, scheduled for Tuesday, July 22, 2025, is designed to strengthen agricultural productivity while promoting rural development and food security in the region.

Founder of the Foundation, Amb. Akintunde Akintayo, disclosed that the program will feature the distribution of free farm tools and equipment to farmers, alongside access to medical checkups, capacity-building sessions, empowerment talks, and networking opportunities. According to him, the goal is to provide practical support that will not only improve farming efficiency but also uplift the socio-economic conditions of smallholder farmers across the area.
Amb. Akintayo reaffirmed his commitment to community development and called on stakeholders to support initiatives that prioritize agriculture and rural empowerment. He noted that agriculture remains a vital driver of economic growth and food sufficiency, and empowering local farmers is key to unlocking the full potential of the sector in Ondo State and beyond.
