Lalude Accuses MC Oluomo of Broken Promises Over Tinubu Campaign Support

Veteran Yoruba actor Fatai Adekunle Adetayo, popularly known as Lalude, has opened up about an unfulfilled promise allegedly made by the Lagos transport union leader, Musiliu Akinsanya (MC Oluomo), during the 2023 general election campaign for President Bola Tinubu.

Speaking on the Beyond the Fame podcast, Lalude claimed that MC Oluomo promised him and fellow actor Ganiu ‘Alapini’ Nafiu the sum of ₦1.5 million each for their involvement in the presidential and gubernatorial campaign rallies — but no payments were made.

“He told us to name our price, and we did,” Lalude said. “He promised ₦1.5 million each, but up till now, we have not received a single naira.”

According to the actor, they were housed for over seven weeks to work on the campaign, during which they trekked daily to attend rallies and shows. Initially given ₦10,000 per day for feeding, the allowance was later stopped without explanation.

“MC Oluomo was driving around in his car while we walked everywhere. We worked tirelessly, only to be abandoned when it was all over,” he said.

Lalude didn’t hold back his frustration, stating, “Whoever is behind this deceit will not prosper. They will still come back to us in 2027 — we’re ready for them.”

His comments echo recent statements by other Nollywood veterans, including Alapini and Aminatu Papapa, who have also expressed regret and disappointment over their support for the ruling party.
