The Rector, Federal Polytechnic, Ile-Oluji, Prof. Emmanuel Adedayo Fasakin ,Ffs, Fiica,Fimc has expressed his Eid-el-Kabir greetings to all Muslim Brothers and Sisters in the Polytechnic Community and other Muslim faithful across Nigeria saying in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic, being alive to witness the celebration calls for gratitude to Allah for His loving kindness and benedictions.
In a statement signed and made public, Prof. Fasakin enjoined Muslims to celebrate the festivity in low key and be mindful of the salient lessons taught by the celebration which according to him include being faithful, humble and optimistic in whatever situation they may find themselves.
According to him, Muslim faithfuls must hold firmly to the dictum that ‘there is always a way where there is a will’
He however enjoined them that as they celebrate, they must abide with all safety protocols to stem the spread of COVID-19 pandemic by always keeping safe and taking responsibility.
