Akure South LG Chairman presents Newly Installed Monarch, Harps on Unity, Development
The Executive Chairman of Akure South Local Government, Hon. (Dr.) Gbenga Fasua, has urged the newly installed Regent of Ijigba, HRH Oyewumi Rotimi Akinbosotu, to place unity and community development at the forefront of her reign. He emphasized the importance of traditional leadership in fostering peace and progress at the grassroots level.

Represented by the Secretary to the Local Government, Hon. Adeola Fynch, at the presentation ceremony held at Olujigba’s palace, Hon. Fasua highlighted the pivotal role of the traditional institution in community building. He assured that the local government would continue to maintain a strong and cordial relationship with traditional rulers for the overall benefit of the people.
On behalf of the chairman and the local government leadership, Hon. Adeola, whose office oversees traditional rulers’ affairs in the local government, congratulated the regent and the people of Ijigba. She reaffirmed her commitment to upholding the values of the traditional institution and emphasized that her office will continue to prioritize the promotion of peace, unity, and sustainable development in the community.
