Amotekun Arrests 32 Suspected Kidnappers in Ondo Forests
The Ondo State Security Network Agency, code-named Amotekun, has arrested no fewer than 32 suspected kidnappers. The arrests took place on Friday in various forest locations across the state, where the criminal activities were being carried out.

Addressing journalists, the Commandant of the Amotekun Corps, Adetunji Adeleye, credited the successful operation to the collaborative efforts of other security agencies. He revealed that the suspects were responsible for the recent wave of kidnappings in the state, particularly in Akure North Local Government Area.
“With the joint efforts of security agencies, we were able to smoke the kidnappers out of the bush,” Adeleye stated. He further noted that the kidnappers often arrive in large numbers, concealed within trucks transporting foodstuffs from the North to the South,an operation security forces are now working to prevent.
The arrests were made at Ago Oyinbo, Ago Daada, and Ago Sunday, areas notorious for kidnappings and killings linked to criminal herdsmen. In response, security agencies have set up multiple checkpoints across the state, particularly in the Akoko area.
Adeleye also disclosed that leaders of Miyetti Allah in the state have pledged their support to security efforts aimed at restoring peace. He urged the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to security agencies.
