Nigeria @ 64 – No True Freedom without Development, PRP Governorship Candidate Calls for Action

As Nigeria celebrates its 64th Independence anniversary, the Peoples Redemption Party (PRP) Governorship Candidate in the forthcoming Ondo State gubernatorial election, Comrade Babatunde Francis Alli, has issued a powerful call to action. In his statement, Comrade Alli emphasizes that while independence is a time to reflect on the journey of the nation, true freedom cannot exist without meaningful development and the eradication of poverty.

Comrade Alli urges all citizens to remain committed to the peace and unity of Nigeria, even as the agitation for a better nation intensifies. He stresses that the collective goal should be to achieve a Nigeria where every citizen is empowered and uplifted through sustainable development. “As we celebrate Nigeria’s independence, we must also acknowledge that freedom is incomplete when the majority of our people still grapple with underdevelopment and widespread poverty. Our independence is hollow without true progress for all,” he said.

While extending his Independence Day greetings to the people of Ondo State, Comrade Alli calls on them to use their votes wisely in the November 16 gubernatorial election. He urges them to choose the PRP with a proven track record of policies and programs that prioritize the well-being of the masses. “This election is an opportunity for us to demand leadership that genuinely cares for the people. It is time to move beyond politics as usual and embrace a government that works for the masses,” he stated.

Finally, Comrade Alli calls on the current government of Ondo State to remain focused on delivering its mandate until its term ends in February 2025. He implores the state government to put aside political distractions and concentrate on fulfilling its responsibilities to the people. “The current administration must not lose sight of its duty to the citizens of Ondo State. There is still much work to be done, and the government must remain accountable to the people until its last day in office,” Comrade Alli concluded.
