Professor Akinterinwa, Wife Bag Role Model in Education Development Award

Renowned scholar Professor Bola A. Akinterinwa, alongside his esteemed wife, Mrs. Fehintola Akinterinwa will on Sunday, 10th of March 2024 be recognized with the prestigious Role Model in Education Development Award for their remarkable contributions to academia and international diplomacy.
Professor Akinterinwa, President/Director-General of the Bolytag Centre for International Diplomacy and Strategic Studies (BOCIDASS), will be celebrated for his distinguished career characterized by intellectual brilliance and practical applications of international diplomatic cultures.
A Sorbonne-trained scholar, Professor Akinterinwa’s academic journey spans renowned institutions in Paris, where he attained expertise in International Studies, International Law, and Contemporary International Relations and Diplomatic History.
His illustrious career includes notable roles as an Embassy Translator at the Embassy of Nigeria, Paris, and as a Research Fellow at the Nigerian Institute of International Affairs (NIIA), where he later served as Acting Director-General and substantive Director-General.
Throughout his tenure at the NIIA, Professor Akinterinwa spearheaded transformative initiatives that repositioned the institute as a leading think-tank on foreign affairs globally. His innovative research focus, strategic analysis, and applied foreign policy calculations earned him widespread acclaim and commendations from academic and diplomatic communities alike.
The erudite scholar, together with his wife of fifty years, who has been very supportive throughout his career, Mrs. Fehintola Akinterinwa is also known for her various empowerment in education, especially for the downtrodden. She has rescued a lot of homes from disarray. She detests illiteracy with passion and so won’t mind whatever it would cost her to make people around her educated. The wonderful couple, Professor Bola and Mrs. Fehintola Akinterinwa will be decorated among other eminent personalities at the 2024 Chronicle Magazine Fizzy, with the theme “Monetization of Nigeria Politics and the Bane of Godfatherism: Ondo 2024 in Perspective” to be delivered by Dr. Olugbenga Abimbola of the Department of Mass Communication, Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko.
The event will be chaired by Hon. Bode Ayorinde, Founder, Achievers University, Owo, and will also feature Hon. Oluwole Ogunmolasuyi, Majority leader of Ondo State House of Assembly, and Dr. Tunji Rhema Moyero, Ondo State Governorship aspirant as special guests.
The tripartite event will host the Executive Governor of Ondo state, His Excellency, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa as the special guest of honour.
A prolific writer and esteemed academic, Professor Akinterinwa’s contributions to international relations and diplomacy extend beyond academia. With over twenty books authored and edited, alongside numerous articles and chapters in reputable journals, his radical academic views and unwavering convictions continue to inspire new generations of scholars.
