Ondo SSG Temitayo Oluwatuyi Laid to Rest amid Grief And Encomium
On Saturday, the Ondo State Governor, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, friends, and family paid final tribute to the Late Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Hon. Temitayo Oluwatuyi.

During an outing and Thanksgiving service held at the Christ Apostolic Church, Oke Isegun, Akure, Governor Aiyedatiwa eulogized the late SSG as a selfless leader who has tremendously contributed to the immense growth and development of the state.
Reflecting on their journey working together, the governor described the deceased’s wisdom, leadership qualities, and ability to bring people together for the common good.
“Hon. Oluwatuyi, fondly called Tuykana, has paid his debt. His contributions to the development of Ondo State and grassroots politics were remarkable. He was a compassionate leader who worked tirelessly to uplift those around him. His unwavering commitment to public service earned him the love and respect of his people,” the Governor said.
“His passing leaves a huge void, but as we celebrate his legacy, we must remember his dedication to the growth and progress of Ondo State. His legacy should inspire us all to serve with integrity, compassion, and excellence,” he added.
Pastor Henry Ojo, the President of the Christ Apostolic Church, in Nigeria and overseas delivered a heartfelt homily to the thousands of well-wishers present at the ceremony which he titled: Prepare to Meet Your Appointment with Your Maker”, where he emphasized the certainty of death and the need for spiritual preparedness, stressing that death is the inevitable vehicle that transports every human either rich or poor, regardless of status, race, or background to their final appointment with God.
In her remarks, the deceased daughter, Mrs Jumoke Adeola expressed her profound gratitude to everyone who stood by them. She also appreciated Governor Aiyedatiwa, colleagues, friends, and well-wishers for their prayers, support, and words of encouragement during the time of grief.
The funeral witnessed a mass turnout of government functionaries, political figures, family, friends, and well-wishers, as well as Nigerians from all walks of life.
